A new Five Nights at Freddy's Roblox game called Survival Crew was published on Roblox before promptly being removed.

A new Five Nights at Freddy's multiplayer Roblox title, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Survival Crew," was published on Roblox before being removed after about two hours by its developers today. Series creator Scott Cawthon responded to the incident on Reddit, calling the game's publishing an accident.
In the post, he confirmed that the Roblox game is indeed official, mentioning that he's a big Roblox fan and plays it often with his chidren. However, he also confirmed that the game was nowhere near ready.
"The fact that this was released today is one of the most baffling, insane, things to ever happen in my ten years of working on FNAF," the creator wrote. "This is a game in its infancy; temp assets; temp gameplay, unfinished everything. The fact that it got dropped today suddenly to the public just blows my mind."

— JonnyBlox (@JonnyBlox) December 20, 2023Cawthon mentioned that the reason for the game's accidental publishing was a misunderstanding on the team; when Cawthon approved a skin, someone interpreted that as him approving the game for release. The game's publisher on Roblox is listed as "Metaverse Team Frights."
"I obviously took the game down immediately," he wrote, saying that he felt the accident was a huge blunder. "I will fix [this] in 2024. I hope everyone can at least believe me when I say that this was a game in its testing phases and was in no way ready to be released to the public." He added that he had never even played the game himself at the time of its accidental release.
Almost 11,000 players won the game's "Started A Match" badge, according to the game's Roblox beta page, meaning that around this many players got an early look at the game while it was live.
