The makers of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (working title) have recently dropped the behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast and crew at the script reading.Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint officially announced the impressive lineup for its cast on January 24. It includes Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, Park Ho-san, Choi Young-joon, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, and others. It was revealed that filming began in December.
Directed by Kim Byung-woo, the film is based on a web novel of the same name and tells the story of Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo-seop), whose reality transforms into the world of the web novel he once read, featuring Yoo Joong-hyuk (Lee Min-ho) as the protagonist. Along with the web novel, the ongoing webtoon adaptation is also gaining a lot of affection from its fans.
Lee Min-ho will play Yoo Joong-hyuk, the main character of a fictional web novel that Kim Dok-ja reads once. Yoo Joong-hyuk gets multiple chances to redo his life after death, possessing good looks and formidable fighting skills. He's a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world.
Ahn Hyo-seop will make his big-screen debut as Kim Dok-ja, the only person who knows the ending of the web novel Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World. An average office worker, Kim Dok-ja becomes engrossed in Yoo Joong-hyuk's story, making him the sole person to finish the web novel.
In the fictional story Kim Dok-ja reads, he forms friendships with peers who join him on a journey. Chae Soo-bin will portray Yoo Sang-ah, Kim Dok-ja’s co-worker who embarks on the journey in the post-apocalyptic world with him. She becomes a great source of strength for Kim Dok-ja as they adapt to a world where survival is a daily battle.
Shin Seung-ho and Nana will star as characters from the web novel Kim Dok-ja reads and later encounters in real life. Shin Seung-ho will portray former military soldier Lee Hyun-sung, displaying formidable defensive abilities, while Nana will take on the role of Jung Hee Won, embodying a powerful goddess of justice.
Park Ho-san will portray Gong Pil-doo, a wealthy individual who wields significant influence over people's lives. Choi Young-joon will play Han Myung-oh, Kim Dok-ja’s company superior who becomes involved in unexpected mission scenarios while getting closer to Yoo Sang-ah. Additionally, Jisoo will depict Lee Ji-hye, who, with her remarkable strength, overcomes numerous crises alongside Yoo Joong-hyuk.
